How to measure your head-size & head-sizing gadgets

Head-sizing is something really integral to millinery and cap making. But I totally get it's something really foreign and could be a little intimidating if you haven't used it before.
All you need is a tape measure to get going. And all you need is one measurement, around the circumference of your head.
Cap of the Week - Plum Basic

For the first cap of the week - The Basic Cap in Plum. 20% off this week only... with the discount code at checkout.
The basic cap is an everyday classic cap & this one is one of those stable colours that I often forget about. Personally I wear this style in charcoal & blue-grey as my go to's, but plum is a super versatile option & just right for autumn.
Sizes Updates / Don't Just Talk About Change

Heads up! (Sorry I'll never tire of that lame pun..)
Up until now the caps have been available in 7 sizes XS-XL & bespoke sizes have been available to request. But from now on there will be also be XXL, 3XL AND 4XL as well.
So all the cap styles will be available to order in up to 10 different sizes in total.
Caps being available in multiple sizes has always been a big goal for me, as a milliner S, M & L just isn't very realistic. I've measured lots of different head sizes and just learnt how much of a difference a quarter of an inch makes in terms of head size and a cap fitting well. So 3 sizes doesn't really cut it.
Cap of the Week

Introducing the CAP OF THE WEEK. A bit like dish of the day, but cap based and week based obvs..
Cap of the week is a new feature for the capalog. Each week a new cap will be the hero and that hero will be available to order in that week's batch for one week only with a 20% discount if you enter the "capoftheweek" disc code at checkout
Product Focus - Cloche Caps

Caps from the catalog and a little about why we love them.
This time it's the Cloche Caps, which come in three colours, Brick, Navy & Slate-Grey.
The Cloche caps are a twist on the classic felt cloche hat, but with a cap twist. Cloche hats are the style from the 1920s and 30s which has that distinct rounded curved crown shape, and as a hat normally has a short brim.
