There are two main styles of panel cap at the capalog. The "Basic" which is a four panel and the "Panel" caps, which are five panel caps. Technically they are both panel caps, but for the purpose of trusting which shape you are ordering, it helps to have set names for the styles. Every cap with the basic name is a four panel and every panel is a five panel, and the style doesn't change. As a slow fashion brand, that is intentional.
There will def always be more or new colours added though!
Although both caps are very similar, they are both slightly different shapes. The basic was pattern drafted first way back in 2019, when the capalog was first launched. Originally designed as hybrid between workwear and contemporary panel caps. Then the panel followed about 3 years later. When I made the panel cap, I took in the side seams a little bit, so it was a closer fit to the head on the crown, then added the front panel to the crown.
When talking to customers, the basic is the one I always recommend if you are looking for more of a square crown shape, or a cap with a slightly fuller crown. The same for the fisher cap, if you want an even fuller crown shape. Especially handy if you have a square jawline.. or just feel like you have one. I definitely always have customers who are weary of certain facial features, and as a curvy girl with my own insecurities, I get that! You want to wear clothing that you feel comfortable and confident in yourself in.
The basic is available to order in red, blue-grey, charcoal, plum and lilac denim. Then in canvas it is available in grey, kale and navy. Then there are currently three basics which are denim AND canvas and they are black, raspberry and sandstone.
